Today, we’re discussing the key focus for success in 2024: conversations. Real estate is a contact sport, and despite the desire to avoid it, talking to people is essential. The days of hiding during the pandemic are behind us, so let’s embrace meaningful conversations.
Conversations are crucial for success, and not just any conversations—quality ones. Following real estate guru Larry Kendall’s advice, we should be asking FORD questions. We should delve into topics like family, occupation, recreation, and dreams.
Quality conversations can occur at parties, open houses, or with agent referral partners. They don’t have to always be about real estate!
As we start 2024, it’s a great time to reconnect with everyone you’ve known and engage in genuine conversations.
Understanding how conversations lead to success, consider the following scenario: Suppose 50 quality conversations result in 3 appointments, leading to 1 contract. To achieve 20 closings in 2024, reverse engineer the process: 20 contracts require 60 appointments, and with a conversion rate of 50 conversations per appointment, it amounts to 3,000 conversations.
While this may seem daunting, breaking it down reveals a manageable goal of 8 conversations per day or around 50 per week. Initiating more quality conversations, whether with familiar faces or strangers, is the key to unlocking opportunities in real estate.
